Will I do something I don’t want to when I go for a hypnotherapy session?
This is a common misconception that occurs because of stage hypnotists. Stage hypnotists are entertainers there shows are focused on entertaining the crowd. Hypnotherapy and stage hypnosis is not the same thing. In a therapy session the client will be more in control than usual and the client and the therapist will work together to reach the client’s goal as discussed during the pre-talk to assist the client with beneficial life changes that he/she desires. Anything that the client does not agree with the client won’t do , just like you won’t do anything anybody tells you to do in your daily life that you don’t want to or don’t agree with.
Am I sleeping during hypnosis?
Not at all, how would we be able to do therapy if you are sleeping? Hypnosis is a very relaxed state, you will still be able to talk and hear everything that is going on around you because you are always in control.
I am scared that I will tell my secrets or something that I don’t want anybody to know?
Because you are in control and aware of everything in a hypnotherapy session you won’t do or say anything that you wouldn’t usually do or say.
Can everyone be hypnotized?
Everyone that allow themselves to go into hypnosis can be hypnotized. Nobody will hypnotize you if you do not allow it therefor clients that come for therapy allow a therapist to hypnotize them to achieve their goal and adjust their life beneficially.
How many sessions will I need and how long does a session last?
The general guideline is 3-6 sessions although some clients may only require 1-3 sessions. And you will start to feel changes right after your first session. One session lasts between 1h30 and 2h00.

Is there any religion connected to hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is just therapy, just as you get psychologists or speech therapists or counselors it is just an alternative therapy that assist clients in a client centered setting to resolve issues and assist with achieves goals. Hypnotherapy is not connected to any religion.
If I choose hypno-birthing will I still be in control through my birthing process and afterwards?
You will be in control every step of the way, hypno-birthing assist with reducing the sensation from contractions and relaxing mommy so that baby can be born in a very relaxed atmosphere. The birthing process in itself normally is a traumatic experience for mommy and baby and by relaxing and minimizing sensations from contractions mommy and baby can have a beautiful birthing process with little to no stress. Mommy is aware of everything that happens every step of the way.
Can I get stuck in a hypnotic state?
No, you cannot get stuck in a hypnotic state as this is just a very relaxed state. It is very unlikely that this will happen in a therapy session but sometimes people are so relaxed in hypnosis that they might fall asleep. Sleep breaks the hypnotic state so when you wake up you will feel refreshed just as you normally would after a nap. Nobody can get ‘stuck’ in hypnosis.
Will I remember everything that happened during the session?
Your subconscious mind will allow you to remember everything that is important to you and may leave behind some things that does not benefit you at that time. Most of the time clients remember everything
What does it feel like to be hypnotized?
Most people describe it as the most wonderful feeling of relaxation where you mind is very focused , almost like a daydream.
